Warm call

A phone call or meeting in which the salesperson has some prior connection to the potential customer.

What is a Warm Call?

A "warm call" refers to a phone call made to a potential customer who has already expressed some level of interest in the product or service being offered. The term "warm" is used to describe the call because the prospect is more receptive to the sales pitch than a cold call, in which the prospect has not previously expressed any interest. Warm calls are often made to follow up on leads generated through marketing efforts, such as filling out a form on a company's website or attending a trade show. Because the prospect is already familiar with the company and its offerings, a warm call is often seen as an opportunity to further engage the prospect and build on their initial interest.
